The Latest Halal Certification Process for Agricultural and Food Products This Year

To achieve Halal certification, clients need to follow the 6-step process outlined below:

Step 1: Halal Standards Awareness Training

Clients will receive awareness training on the relevant Halal standards for the product they wish to certify (e.g., food, food packaging, cosmetics, textiles, etc.).

Step 2: Establishing a Halal Assurance System

The company must either independently establish or hire a qualified independent consultant to develop a quality assurance system in accordance with Halal standards.

Step 3: Certification Registration

The company submits an application for Halal certification along with the necessary documentation.

Step 4: Preliminary Assessment (Stage 1)

The certification body conducts Stage 1 – Preliminary Assessment at the office, reviewing the registered documentation and assessing readiness for the official assessment.

Step 5: Official Assessment (Stage 2)

The certification body conducts Stage 2 – Official Certification Assessment at the production site.

Step 6: Documentation Review and Certification Issuance

The certification body reviews the documentation after the assessment and proceeds with the certification process if the facility meets Halal standards.

Note: For companies that have already completed Halal awareness training and established their Halal Assurance System, they need only to proceed from Step 3 to obtain certification.
